Philipp Häfner

Philipp Häfner is a software engineer at Hofmann. His tasks include the communication of high-level language programs with the function blocks of the PLC. He is also responsible for programming database systems, camera systems and measuring system applications. In addition, he has product responsibility for the WKM type tire bead compression machine within our software group.

His positive nature, high motivation and technical knowledge make him a great asset to Hofmann. We can therefore say the following about Philipp Häfner: He is a great team player who breathes life into our machines!

We asked Philipp to write a few words about himself and his everyday life at Hofmann:

My journey at Hofmann began in 2015 with a successful pre-study internship during my first degree. After four semesters, I decided to finish my studies and start an apprenticeship as an electronics technician. Thanks to my positive experience, I applied to Hofmann again and was offered the position of apprentice.

Even during my pre-study internship, I was impressed by the products, the human interaction and the machines at Hofmann. That's why I could always imagine coming back here.

After successfully completing my apprenticeship, I started a dual course of study in electrical engineering with a focus on automation. The dual study program required good time management and was generally very demanding. Fortunately, I received good support and mentoring from Hofmann, which encouraged and motivated me.

I have now been a permanent employee in our software department since 2023. My tasks are very varied: the validation and development of measurement systems. This requires not only a perfect interface of technology, but also human cooperation.
