What are brake disk balancing machines and why are brake disks balanced at all? 

Brake discs are balanced to reduce the load on the landing gear at higher wheel speeds and to minimize vibrations.

At Hofmann, brake discs are balanced fully automatically using high-precision systems. The brake disc is transported from the conveyor system to the measuring station using a rotary swivel transfer. There, the unbalance is precisely measured. Our milling unit in combination with a CNC rotary table then ensures precise mass correction. Compliance with the tolerance is then checked and the brake disk is transported back to the conveyor system.

Whether clamping on the outer diameter or on the cup, milling using double or single milling - we respond individually and flexibly to your requirements.
